At Sean C Smith Upholstery we have two main sides to our business. Furniture Upholstery and Auto Trimming. Specialising in leather work we can re-spring, repair and recover to the highest quality.
We do everything from antique restoration, to three piece suites and chairs.
We also welcome work from the commercial sector for repairs to and renovation of upholstery to the Pubs, Hotel, Restaurant and Club Industry.
We have a mass of experience, whether you are renovating a classic, or you have a tear in your leather trim, we have the range of materials and skill to return your vehicles interior to its former glory.

Car Interiors

In the pictures below we have an Evo 7 which was fitted with a full red and black leather interior. In the picture you can see it with its origional interior.

NOW FITTED WITH LEATHER INTERIOR

Below you can see the finished result. We have fitted a two tone red and black leather interior, including door pannels. We copied exactly, the way it was done in the factory.

MK 1 VAUXHALL CHEVETTE INTERIOR

Also below we have a MK1 Chevette interior, were the owner actually had the origional tartan type fabric copied by a mill on the Isle of Lewis, as it was no longer available. As you can see from the results, it was well worth going to the trouble, as he now has a brand new interior for his car, which technically, was no longer available!

Upholstery

We offer services both to domestic and commercial customers; we can repair a chair, through to upholstering a full hotel or bar.

Offering the highest quality workmanship we can re-spring, repair and re-upholster.

We can also carry out the framework and re-foaming.

Restoring antique furniture to its former glory is one of our specialities.

Sofa Upholstery

We recently re-upholstered a 3 piece suite, which was only 10 years old, and gave it a period look, with a rich gold fabric. Contrasting scatter cushions from the same collection, finishes the look.

Car Upholstery, Trimming & Restoration

At Sean C Smith we have a vast range of leathers in all colours to match any vehicle; we carry out repairs or complete re-trim.
We can also supply to your door a complete kit for you to fit yourself! We also supply all tools sundries and glues.
Our staff have over 30 years car trimming experience, factory trained, at Rolls Royce Bentley & TVR.
We can offer you 2 options:
1. A full custom re-trim, cut and sewn in house from the best Leathers available, and fully fitted by us. If you own a TVR and only want a factory trained specialist to re-trim your car, then click on TVR above, or indeed any other car you want a custom fit interior fitting , then click on the same page.

2. We can send you a kit, in over 40 different colors, and fit it into your car yourself. We will gladly talk to you over the phone and guide you through the fitting process. The hardest part of car trimming is cutting, and sewing the leather together, to form the covers. We concider the fitting of the covers to the seat, the easy bit! If you are good at DIY , then you could save up to £900.00 buy purchasing one of our Kits.

There are over 200 cars in our range, and we can supply carpet kits as well as leather trim kits.

Antique Upholstery & Antique Restoration

Antique furniture always looks fantastic in any home, and it can also be re-upholstered in a way to give it a somewhat modern feel.
Most antique furniture is not in such a bad state of repair and therefore, can be very cost effective to repair. As a guide, a sofa can cost a total of £700 including all fabric, collection and delivery, to fully restore.
We have a vast range of fabrics, especially designed for Antique re-upholstery, for you to look at i the comfort of your own home.
